Cyrus Drink Table
The Cyrus Drink Table sets a thin metal plate on a slender stem, cantilevered off a solid block of sable walnut and balanced on a six-inch square footprint. From the front the stem appears to rise straight out of the block - walk around it and the rod drops into a routed channel cut down the back, so the support reads as one clean line from one side and as honest joinery from the other. The block is mitred and wrapped so the grain runs continuously around all four corners, which is what keeps it reading as a solid mass rather than four boards joined at the edges. At just over 22" tall the top clears a chair arm and slides in where a full side table would crowd the room - in antiqued brass for warmth, or matte black for a quieter, more graphic line.
